Debido a un problema con un experto en duelos, Homer escapa de Springfield con la familia y van a parar a la granja donde Homer fue criado. Los Simpson comienzan una vida agraria y Homer utiliza plutonio para acelerar el proceso de crecimiento de las hortalizas. Esto provoca que las semillas de tomates y tabaco (que Homer plantó a la vez sin darse cuenta) crecieran formando un producto altamente adictivo (y tan perjudicial como el tabaco) parecido a un tomate que Homer decide explotar con el nombre de "ToMacco".
